Washington DC 2018


Bright and early Sunday morning our 8th graders left for the annual trip to Washington D.C.! We are so excited for all of these great students to have this oppurtunity. Thank you to all who have been involved to make this possible! 

Day 1 Highlights:

Times Square, Rockafellar Plaza and NBC Studios in New York City.

Battery Park and Liberty Island. 

Arrived at Catholic University of America around 10:00 pm. 

Day 2 Highlights:

First ride on the metro!! 

Pentagon tour, 9/11 memorial, and Reagan Center in the moring.

American History Museum, Jefferson Memorial and MLK Jr. Memorial.

Arlington Cemetary and Wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Day 3 Highlights:

National Shrine and Basilica at the Catholic University of America. 

Metro to Union Station, US Supreme Court and Library of Congress. 

Met Senator Susan Collins and had a tour of the Capitol Building. 

National Mall, Museum of Natural History tour. 

Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, and Korean War Memorial.

Albert Einstein sculpture and visited a DC visitor center and ended our day with dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe! 

Day 4 Highlights: 

Halocaust Museum tour.

Reagan Center was too busy for lunch, so they ate at a street full of food trucks!!

Air and Space Museum, National Gallery of Art, and the Washington DC Zoo!

CUA Class night with Pizza, NBA Championships, frisbee, capture the flag, and many activites!
